Hoboken Community Center
The Hoboken Community Center (HCC) opened its doors in 1927 as the Hoboken-North Hudson YMCA and served the dual purpose of providing housing to low-income men and offering affordable recreational programs for the local community.
Today, the HCC’s mission is to provide essential services and support for any Hoboken residents in need. With a three pronged approach, HCC offers a food and personal care pantry, affordable housing, and a recreational space for those in the City of Hoboken and its surrounding communities.
The HCC’s history and current initiatives helped to inform the logo redesign. We separated the new triangle icon into three parts to honor the center’s three pronged mission and the organization’s long standing relationship with the YMCA (whose logo has always included a triangle that points downward).
